In 2023, Speake-Marin introduces the One & Two Academic collection, a tribute to the delicate balance between opposing forces. The collection debuts two exceptional timepieces, the Academic White and Academic Black Tie, embodying the ancient Chinese philosophy of yin and yang - the interplay of light and darkness, feminine obscurity and masculine brilliance, resulting in a harmonious equilibrium.

At the core of this collection lies the enchanting Academic White timepiece. Its dial, meticulously coated in luminous white lacquer, radiates a pristine brilliance akin to the warmth of sunlight. The applied Roman numeral hour markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock are elegantly finished in matte white, complemented by Super-LumiNova for legibility in all lighting conditions. The small second counter, thoughtfully positioned at 1:30, features a grey chapter ring, while the minute track along the flange is highlighted in vivid orange, adding a touch of contrast and vibrancy.
