Seiko King Seiko 140th Anniversary Limited Edition Automatic – SJE083

The SJE083 celebrates the 140th anniversary of Seiko. This limited edition brings back the elegant dress/sport watch from 1965. The iconic look known for its sharp angled flat lugs, versatile and dignified appearance is limited to just 3,000 pieces with the serial number engraved on the case back. The watch is crafted of stainless steel with super-hard coating, set on a black crocodile strap and a Seiko logo buckle. The case is 38.1mm in diameter, 44.7mm lug to lug, 11.4mm tall. The box shaped sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating on the inside, and the silver dial has a date window at 3 o’clock and a textured marker at 12 o’clock. The Seiko automatic 6L35 movement delivers a power reserve of 45 hours.

The “King Seiko” is a 1965 classic reborn. The sixties were significant for Seiko in development and design. Alongside Grand Seiko, King Seiko was produced delivering precision, and powerful yet graceful designs that highlighted the quality of construction. This re-imagined mechanical dress watch features the same graceful design elements as the original. The use of sharp, bold faceted lugs that feature flat planes and Zaratsu polish pay homage to the original. The combination of the flat dial, faceted indexes, and broad sharp hands re-creates the refined elegance of the 1965 KSK.
