The Big Crown Pointer Date was introduced in 1938 as a pilot’s watch. Its signature oversized crown was originally intended for gloved airmen but now serves a more aesthetic purpose, while the pointer date function is now an iconic feature of Oris.

This watch features a blue dial with small seconds hand and a big pointer date, a 38mm diameter stainless steel case with a high polished bezel, a screw down crown providing 50m of water resistance, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inside, and a black leather strap with a pin buckle clasp. The case back has a sapphire display to highlight the proprietary Calibre 403 automatic. The Calibre 403 movement has elevated levels of anti-magnetism, and an incredible 5 days of power reserve.
