The Omega Speedmaster is a legendary name in watchmaking and has legions of fans. For this special watch, Omega pulled all the stops to give those fans something truly special. The Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon is machined from a single block of black ceramic and has a 44.25mm diameter case that is 16.1mm thick, 49.8mm lug to lug, and water resistant to 50m. The case is topped with a brushed ceramic bezel with a matt chromium nitride tachymeter scale. The black dial is made of polished ceramic and features two ringed sub-dials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock and a color matched date wheel at 6 o’clock, creating a very balanced presentation. The hands and indices are made of 18K white gold, except for the central chronograph seconds hand, which is polished, rhodium plated, and tipped in red to match the “Speedmaster” wordmark for a bold touch. The sapphire crystal is anti-reflective coated on both sides, and with Super Luminova on the hands and indices, provides easy readability.

This Speedmaster is built to explore the next frontiers humans travel to and uses the beautiful and capable self-winding Co-Axial Caliber 9300, visible behind a sapphire case back, and comes with Omega’s 5-year warranty. This modern caliber is a Certified Master Chronometer, resistant to magnetic fields, uses silicon components and a free sprung balance for long-term reliability, and provides a 60-hour power reserve, and a time zone function for your travel needs. It features a central seconds hand for the chronograph, with the left sub-dial showing running seconds, and the right sub-dial the chronograph’s 60-minute and 12-hour hands in a highly readable format. This Omega comes on a coated nylon fabric strap (backed with leather) and a ceramic folding clasp.
