Grand Seiko’s SBGW283 is part of the Elegance Collection. It is housed in a 37.3mm stainless steel case that is 44.3mm lug to lug, slim 11.7mm height, with a box shaped sapphire crystal and push down crown. Grand Seiko equips this classically sized watch with a smooth hand winding movement, the Caliber 9S64, with 72 hours of power reserve and an accuracy rating of +5 / -3 seconds per day. This hand assembled and adjusted movement is visible behind a sapphire case back.

Grand Seiko is known for intricate dials and incredible casework utilizing Zaratsu polishing to create a mirror finish. This dial celebrates “Kishun”, the flow of seasons from spring to summer. The color is a delicate shade of pale blue, recalling the color of the skies above Mt. Iwate as summer begins. The SBGW283 comes on a 19mm crocodile strap with an engraved pin buckle.
