Seiko Prospex Seigaiha-Inspired U.S Limited Edition Automatic – SLA053

The SLA053 is a U.S. limited edition Prospex that is inspired by Seigaiha. Prospex continues to celebrate over 60 years of sports watch excellence by recreating or reinterpreting landmark achievements. This U.S. Limited edition is one of only 500 with the case back being engraved with the individual number. “Seigaiha” or “blue ocean waves” patter is derived from an ancient Japanese tradition that symbolizes peace, good luck, and good fortune. The intense blue dial sitting in the deep black high performance one-piece stainless steel case with black hard coating evokes the image of the ocean under moonlight. Following ISO standards for saturation diving, this watch is capable of depths up to 300m. The watch is powered by the Seiko 8L35 automatic movement that is assembled expressly for diver’s watches at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio. The movement delivers 50 hours of power reserve and is able to be manually wound. LumiBrite coating on the hands, markers, and accents on the black ceramic unidirectional bezel provide enhanced legibility. The sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating and the watch has a black silicone strap.
