In 2023, Seiko introduces a contemporary rendition of this iconic 1968 diver's watch in their Prospex collection. While honoring its heritage in design, the timepiece showcases cutting-edge diver's watch technology. It features a dual-gradient textured blue dial, inspired by the intricate patterns of underwater cave walls illuminated by a diver's torch. The crown is ingeniously secured in a separate component within the case for enhanced durability and easier replacement.

The heart of the watch is the Caliber 8L35, purpose-built for diver's watches and meticulously crafted by artisans at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio in northern Japan.
