Grand Seiko’s SBGA437 is part of the Heritage Collection, housed in a 40mm stainless steel case that is 46.6mm lug to lug, with a curved sapphire crystal and screw down crown that provides 100m of water resistance. The Spring Drive 9R65 Caliber (assembled and adjusted by hand at the Shinshu Watch Studio) provides a smooth sweeping seconds hand with an astonishing precision of +/- 15 seconds per month, unprecedented for a watch powered by a mainspring. The beautiful movement provides 72 hours of power reserve, is anti-magnetic, and features a screw-in steel case back with the Grand Seiko Lion motif.

Grand Seiko is known for intricate dials and incredible casework utilizing Zaratsu polishing to create a mirror finish. This watch has a silken sunray champagne dial that provides wonderful light interplay, and an initial look belies the complexity and effort to create one of the most complex dials in the Grand Seiko catalog. The needle-sharp seconds hand, power reserve indicator, and framed date display provide useful information at a quick glance, while maintaining the harmony of the timepiece. This Grand Seiko comes on a three-link satin finished bracelet with a three-fold clasp and two half links to finely adjust the fit.
