Breitling’s Premier Collection dates to the 1940’s, dedicated to watches with everyday elegance. Today’s Premier Collection introduces models whose elegance is worthy of their historic name, with quality, performance, and design DNA are pure Breitling. This watch is often known as the “Duograph”, a term used by Breitling and now commonly referred to as a “chronograph rattrapante” or split-seconds chronograph. This elaborate complication is considered one of the hardest in terms of manufacturing difficulty. Its function is to show two elapsed times, which it does via two central seconds hands on the chronograph (which have different tails). The button integrated within the crown will stop one of these hands, and when pressed again, this hand will “rattraper” (or “catch up” in French) to the other chronograph seconds hand). This Premier Duograph has a stainless steel case that is 42mm in diameter, 15.3mm thick, and is water resistant to 100m. The sunray blue dial has a classic two-register chronograph layout, with overlapping central split seconds chronograph hands, running seconds at 9H and a 30-minute register at 3H, and hour and minute hands with Super Luminova. Further nods to tradition include the dial’s applied Arabic numerals, the lines on both flanks of the case, and the rectangular chronograph pushers.

This watch is powered by the manually wound Breiting Manufacture Caliber B15 with a 70-hour power reserve and has a sapphire crystal that is glare proofed on both sides with a sapphire case back to allow viewing the beautiful movement. It is Chronometer Certified and is backed by a 5-year Breitling warranty (extensible for an additional 3 years with registration). This Premier Chronograph pays no attention to the barrier between sport and dress watches and is a match for any occasion. It comes on a brown alligator leather strap with a steel push-button folding clasp.
