The Atelier Wen Perception Ying Grey embodies the pinnacle of Chinese watchmaking, blending tradition with modern craftsmanship. At the heart of this timepiece is a dial crafted by Cheng Yu Cai, China's only master guilloché craftsman. The intricate fish scale pattern, painstakingly hand turned over 8 hours, showcases the delicate art of guilloché, a skill mastered by only 30 artisans worldwide.

The dial’s design draws inspiration from ancient Chinese architecture, specifically the 榫卯 (sǔn mǎo) assembly technique, where components fit seamlessly without glue or nails. The watch's indexes fit precisely into cutouts, secured by a chapter ring adorned with the huí wén pattern, both functional and decorative. The leaf shaped hands, lumed with Superluminova X1, add depth and balance, with variations in rhodium or heat blued finishes.

The Perception's 40mm case, crafted from 904L steel, evokes the graceful curves of pagodas, enhanced by a mix of polished and brushed finishes. Despite its slim 9.4mm profile, the watch is water resistant to 100 meters. A semidisplay caseback reveals a stylized stone lion, symbolizing the protective spirit of the watch.

Paired with a quick release bracelet featuring a custom clasp with a concealed micro adjustment mechanism, the watch offers both elegance and comfort. Powered by the SL1588 movement, it provides 41 hours of power reserve and has been rigorously tested for precision.
