A collection of the new 2018 Nomos models as seen at our recent Nomos event. The four watches on the left are equipped with the new Neomatik Date movement. The DUW 6106 caliber is adjusted to 6 positions and should be a highly accurate engine for the new models.
The DUW 6101 movement is extremely thin at 3.6mm but is a robust 35.2mm in diameter, making it suitable for larger timepieces while maintaining a slim profile. A key benefit of the movement is the quick-set feature, which allows the date to be set in either direction. The quick-set movement is a welcome addition to the NOMOS lineup, and the bidirectional date-setting feature is rare even in timepieces that cost multiples of the Nomos’ that have it. The movement also protects against user error. One does not have to avoid changing the date between particular hours as with conventional quick-set movements..

The Tangente neomatik 41 Update adds a unique and clever date display by flanking the date on the periphery of the dial with subtle red markers, again using the DUW 6106 movement.
