Exemplifying American horology, each dial undergoes meticulous hand polishing before CNC milling with end mills measuring mere fractions of a millimeter. The nameplate, secured by two functional, hand-polished screws, is a feat of precision, featuring hand-applied chamfers with anglage and a delicate satin grain. Measuring just 0.20mm in thickness—one-fifth the width of a dime—it demands extraordinary skill to handle. The Orion nameplate text is carefully milled and inked by hand, an intricate process rarely seen in watchmaking, where lasering or cutter profiling are more common alternatives.
