| The Towson Watch Company, founded at the beginning of the new millennium is one of the few watch companies that designs and manufactures watches in the United States. When Hartwig Balke and George Thomas created their mechanical watch collection, they dedicated it to the region they love so much, and it became the Chesapeake Class Watch Collection. The Benzinger Classic has a solid silver engine turned dial with black roman numerals. The blued steel Breguet style hands create the right contrast and gives the watch its classic look. A high grade 17 jewel manual winding movement was taken apart and all the bridges and balance cock were skeletonized , engraved and rose gold plated. The plate was engine turned and rhodium plated. In its final assembled stage, the movement became a true piece of art and turns this watch into a one of a kind collectable.

This BayPilot model comes with a genuine crocodile leather band. A smaller onion crown, the smoother bezel design and the executive style leather strap creates a different appearance. A watch for people who like the clear dial design in a more elegant package.

Beside the standard chronograph functions with the 30 minutes and 12 hours register, this chronograph has much more to offer. Two small windows incorporated into the 30 minutes register displays weekdays and months. An additional hand indicates the date on the dial’s outer circle. A special shaped section in the 6 hours register shows the moon phase. At the 9 o’clock position is a 24h register. The watch, with its stainless steel case and its nicely decorated bezel has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The case, waterproof to 5 ATM, has a screwed back with a sapphire crystal enabling a view of the highly decorated hand-assembled 25 jewel Swiss automatic movement, Caliber 7751.
